Promptwatch vs BrightEdge vs Conductor vs seoClarity: Features Compared

What Hyper Cube, Conductor workflows, and seoClarity's AI pane actually add, and which GEO features we still run in Promptwatch on client retainers.

When a retained client already uses BrightEdge, Conductor, or seoClarity, we do not treat the arrival of an AI visibility module as a reason to replace the suite. Those platforms were bought for enterprise SEO, content governance, or large-scale reporting. Their AI features belong in that context.

We use Promptwatch for the operational GEO loop: monitor answers, inspect citations, attribute AI referral traffic, and turn a content gap into a publishable draft. On Professional, Business, or an agency plan, the same loop also shows crawler activity. Search Console remains part of the reporting stack. For Google AI Overviews, Google's own AI features guidance is still the baseline.

The suites solve a broader SEO problem

BrightEdge, Conductor, and seoClarity all place AI visibility next to established search data. That can be convenient for a global SEO team that already has dashboards, permissions, and reporting routines in one platform. It does not make the products interchangeable with a dedicated GEO platform.

Our comparison starts with the work a client has already organized around the suite. Then we check whether its documented AI layer covers prompt research, citation depth, crawler evidence, conversion attribution, and content execution. A missing item is not proof that the vendor cannot show it in a private demo. It does mean we will not promise the feature in a retainer until we have seen it.

BrightEdge is strongest at portfolio-scale search data

BrightEdge documents AI Overview tracking across large keyword portfolios, DataCube competitive intelligence, automated recommendations, and enterprise reporting. Its Generative Parser analyzes AI Overview presence and citation patterns. The AI Hyper Cube, introduced in March 2026, extends its dataset to brand visibility across AI engines.

That is useful when a client already relies on BrightEdge to compare search demand and competitors across a large site estate. Autopilot can push automated on-page changes, although our agency policy is to review any automated website change in staging before release.

The source entry does not document the Promptwatch feature set for named AI crawler logs, AI-referred conversion tracking, detailed Reddit and YouTube citation analysis, or Content Agents publishing through Webflow and Framer. We therefore keep BrightEdge for the search intelligence it was purchased to provide and use a dedicated platform for those GEO operations.

Conductor is built around content workflow

Conductor combines AI answer visibility with classic SEO metrics. Its AI Search Performance layer covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, and Google AI Overviews. The platform also brings content briefs with GEO recommendations into tasks, approvals, and enterprise governance. Technical monitoring comes from its Deepcrawl lineage, and the source entry lists unlimited seats on most plans.

For a content organization with legal review and several approval steps, that workflow is genuinely useful. A recommendation can enter the same process as any other editorial change. Conductor's AI tracking is sold as part of the wider platform, not as a standalone product.

Its entry does not document crawl-to-citation paths for named AI bots, visitor conversion attribution, Promptwatch-level citation categories, or an equivalent CMS publishing loop. We use Conductor to manage the people and approvals when it is already present. Promptwatch supplies the GEO evidence that tells us which task deserves priority.

seoClarity serves the analyst

seoClarity folds AI Overview and chat-engine tracking into enterprise rank tracking and site analysis. Its documented feature set includes a built-in AI assistant for analysis, unlimited users and usage, and enterprise-scale ranking data. The source entry lists pricing from roughly $750 per month.

This makes sense for a dedicated SEO team that wants AI visibility inside a large analytical platform. It is a much broader purchase than prompt monitoring. For a client already using seoClarity, we retain its rank, audit, and research functions rather than recreating them elsewhere.

The same source entry does not document named AI crawler logs, visitor analytics that connect referrals to conversions, Content Agents, or the full Promptwatch prompt-intelligence set. We keep the distinction explicit in reporting: seoClarity covers the enterprise SEO record, while Promptwatch covers our day-to-day GEO workflow.

Promptwatch closes the operational gaps

Promptwatch prompt tracking includes search volumes, difficulty scores, query fan-outs, topics, and personas. Essential has country-level targeting. Location targeting down to state and city starts on Professional for brand plans and is also included on the agency plans. Prompt trends show how visibility changes between checks. Citation analytics works at page and domain level and separates Reddit, YouTube, and offsite mentions.

On Professional, Business, or an agency plan, Agent Analytics records ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler activity, including errors and crawl-to-citation paths. Visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or Google Tag Manager template to connect AI traffic with conversions. Content Agents can plan and draft GEO content, send it through a review inbox, and publish to Webflow or Framer.

For a client without an existing enterprise suite, Promptwatch Explore provides ten ChatGPT prompts at no charge. Essential costs $95 per month for 50 prompts and 6,000 responses, but it has no listed crawler-log allowance and only country-level targeting. Professional is the first brand plan with Agent Analytics and state or city targeting. Agencies can use Kick-off at $199 per month with those features, unlimited projects and prompts, ten seats, 10,000 responses, and 10 million crawler logs.

Our deployment choice

We do not remove an enterprise SEO suite merely because Promptwatch is added. BrightEdge can remain the competitive search dataset, Conductor can remain the approval system, and seoClarity can remain the analyst's platform. We add Promptwatch when the retainer also requires prompt-level tracking, crawler diagnosis, AI conversion evidence, and a managed path from content gap to publication.
