Agency Tools for AI Search Visibility and Client Reporting: GEO, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity Monitoring

Client GEO reporting needs Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity as separate columns. We run Promptwatch Kick-off at $199. We do not screenshot Otterly.

Agency tools for AI search visibility and client reporting are how we stop mixing Google AI Overviews with ChatGPT and Perplexity on one "AI rank" slide. Retainers already have Google Search Console. Overviews belong there. ChatGPT and Perplexity do not. The GEO monitor we report from is Promptwatch. Kick-off is $199/mo with unlimited projects, 10 seats, 10,000 responses, and 10M crawler logs. The reason we lead with the SKU is that the SKU is the part that lets one login hold the whole roster, which is the unit of an agency report.

We will not put 15 clients on a brand Essential plan at $95 with one project. That SKU is for a flagship domain. Two people screenshotting ChatGPT will argue about wording. There will be no history. We will not do that as the report, because a report with no history is a report that cannot answer a QBR question about last quarter.

What the monthly slide contains

Scope is the prompt count, the engines, and the dates. If we changed prompts, we say so, because a changed prompt set is the most common reason a number moves and the client did not get told.

The scoreboard is named, cited URL, and share of voice against competitors the client agreed to. Engine columns stay split. GSC generative reports go in an appendix, because the GSC column is a Google column and the ChatGPT column is an OpenAI column, and a merged number loses both.

Actions are three URLs. We do not promise Promptwatch screenshots. That is a Peec feature, not a Promptwatch one. We show mention versus citation rows. Unified Actions is the to-do list on the same login, so the action and the row sit in one place.

ChatGPT has 820M+ weekly active users. Perplexity has 22M+ monthly. Paid Promptwatch plans include those plus Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and Overviews, daily, and the daily cadence is the part that lets the slide say "this week" instead of "sometime last month."

What we will not use as the system of record

Otterly from $29 has no PDF and a lag up to seven days. Fine as a client's own experiment. Poor as our QBR. We do not screenshot it for the deck, because a screenshot of a lagged row is a snapshot of a stale number.

Peec agency from $245 offers clean screenshots, with extra models at $35 to $165. We will use it if the client already standardized on it. We still want crawler logs and visits, because a screenshot does not tell us whether the page was fetched.

Profound Starter is ChatGPT only at $99 annual. We cannot report Perplexity from that login, so a Profound-only report is a one-engine report dressed as a multi-engine report.

Scrunch from $250 annual does crawler page serving, then Excel exports. Sitecore acquired it in June 2026. The Excel export is the reporting complaint, and the complaint is the reason we do not hand a client a Scrunch chart.

Semrush AI Toolkit at $99 per domain means ten logos is $990 before the Semrush base, which is the math that rules it out for a multi-client roster.

How we run Kick-off

One project per client. Daily UI on paid engines. Visitor analytics only when the SOW includes AI-referred traffic, because the visit script is a per-client install and not every client wants it. Crawler logs before we invoice for "AI cannot see this page," because the log is the evidence that the page is invisible to the bot. Growth at $399 if 10,000 responses is tight. Scale at $799.

How to get cited by ChatGPT is the production checklist. This post is the reporting stack, and the two posts do different work.

White-label is custom Promptwatch pricing, not a Kick-off toggle. We export a scoreboard. We do not invent a toggle, because a toggle that does not exist is a thing we cannot sell. Looker Studio exists if the client already lives there. Otterly Looker starts at Standard, which is $189. The QBR can still be a table, and a table is the format an enterprise client can read.

FAQ

Can we just screenshot ChatGPT for the deck?

Two people will paste slightly different wording. There will be no history. We will not do that as the report, because a screenshot is a sample and a sample is not a ledger.

Does Kick-off include white-label?

Self-serve Kick-off is per-client projects. White-label is custom Promptwatch pricing. We export a scoreboard. We do not invent a toggle.

Can we report 15 clients on Essential?

No. Essential is one project. Kick-off is the agency SKU, and the SKU is the part that decides whether the report scales.

What to do this week

  1. List accounts that already asked for an AI slide.
  2. Freeze 15 to 25 sales-language prompts per brand.
  3. Put them in Promptwatch Kick-off if you have more than two logos.
  4. Split Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity in the next report.
  5. Email hello@1001seomedia.com if you want us to run the scoreboard. Bring the current tool invoices.
